Dr. Karla Sermeno Castillo

Dr. Karla Sermeno Castillo was born and raised in San Salvador, El Salvador, where she completed, with honors, her Doctorate in Dental Surgery. She then obtained a Master’s degree in Endodontics at the Universidad Autonoma of San Luis Potosi in Mexico in 2009. After moving to the United States, Dr. Sermeno completed her residency in Endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania in 2018.

She is an active member of the American Association of Endodontics and the American Dental Association and has spent the last 7 years practicing Endodontics in San Antonio and Austin, Texas.

In her spare time, Dr. Sermeno enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and young son. She loves swimming, dancing and singing, although not always reaching that high pitch. Her favorite book is Brida, and she could never tire of watching Mulan. She loves soccer and will never say “no” to a good steak, or deep-dish pizza.

Dr. Sermeno’s goal is to know her patients and treat them with care and compassion, guided by her strong ethics, professionalism and clinical experience.
